I’m coming to the end of another feeding season and spring can’t come soon enough. Our hay stocks will hold out until the end of April and hopefully by then the sheep and goats will be able to scrounge some fresh grass. With the drought last year everyone’s production was low and we sold more than we should have to help people out. In the fall you try and guesstimate how many pounds you’ll need for the winter. This year I’m not very comfortable with how close we are with no carry over.
